I had my walls plastered last week and it's all over my floor. I have mopped and brushed ten million times but it won't go away. Any ideas?

Scrape with a blunt knife blade? (butter knife, not steak knife)

Do you mean the white film that plastering leaves behind and no amount of water and wiping will get rid of? If so, try using furniture polish on a rag and wipe. It works for me on my beams.
