I've spilt glue on my carpet!!! Has anyone got any ideas how to get it out!!?? Its about the size of a 50p pence and has gone all hard. It looks really bad, the only solution may be to cut it out and stick a new bit in. But really don't want to do that unless I have to.

Thanks

As always, test any suggestion on a piece of carpet this is usually hidden, in case it causes colour run or bleaching.

Good luck.
You could try this. Get some kitchen towel (bounty is best) and place a sheet of it over the glue. Using an iron on medium heat it gently iron the kitchen towel. This should heat the glue and the towel will soak it up. Be carefull not to damage the carpet further with the iron.
best thing to use is a thinner (white spirit or nail varnish remover). This will melt and soften the glue and rid it of its stickiness. Do a test first though.
