jono, Possibly faulty diverter valve , or faulty domestic hot water sensor / thermostat. Either way, you will need to contact a Corgi rgistered heating engineer.

Does it do it after running for a length of time i.e. when running a bath or just when you run it, say to wash your hands??

You must give more details, how old is your boiler? what make? etc?

Cheers guy's

the water goes hot and cold when im having a shower or running a bath. But it's fine if i just fill the sink up.

It sounds like there's a break in the water heating process (which you've probably already worked out - Doh!!) as this is what happens if you switch the tap on, off & on again i.e. you get residual hot water in the pipes which appears instantly, then cold until the bolier gets up to speed in heating the new supply then hot again.

No one is running water in another part of the house at the same time are they? Our power shower runs very slowly or just goes hot/cold if the washing machine's on/husband runs the water in the kitchen.

Sorry but no other clues!

Good luck.
