we are thinking of buying a property and want to know the age of it. the estate agent doesnt know and neither does the owner, how can i find it myself ?

Check out the deeds or the land registry office.
If it has been built since 1948 the Local Council will have a record of the original Planning Permission.

If its an old building it may well have some local hisoric interest attached to it, you may be able to do some digging at the local library, in the local history section.


You may find info from a local historian at the library too
