Why has my coriander plant dried out at home when I only bought it 2 weeks ago? I've watered it and kept it in a sunny place and given it lots of verbal encouragement but most of the shoots are dried out. Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks

Its possible, if your Q is from the UK that your coriander is suffering from our cool climate, as its natural home is in warmer clims. Its fine outdoors in the spring and summer but needs to be over -wintered preferably in a cool green house or conservatory, you may find the smell a bit ovepowering in the home. If your lucky it may not be too late to save it. Good Luck..
Logman is absolutely right. If you can live with it in the house find a warm bright spot, but not on a windowsill because the cold will still get to the plant. Keep it warm, well watered, and hopefully it will recover. If it was a pot of lots of little plants from a supermarket it would be worth your while removing it from the pot, carefully pulling out the healthy seedlings, and replanting them more spaced apart so they can grow better. Good luck and I hope your plant recovers!
