If I put a pair of jeans in the washing machine at a high temp or in the dryer will they shrink slightly?

There is no need today with modern washing powder to wash at high temps. Jeans especially dont like high temperatures. Wash inside out and at no more than 40 degrees and your jeans will last you years - otherwise they will shrink and fade.
sounds like you want to shrink em down a wee bit, try your wash as hot as poss and then plunge them into cold water. hope that does the trick..

yeah I would like to shrink them a little, they are in a hot wash now so we'll see what happens


the manufacturers used to recommend having a hot bath with them on, to shrink to fit your shape more
Putting them into the tumble dryer on high until bone dry will help. I manage to shrink everything like that.good luck
