....for this wall:

I absolutely love this (so does OH) but it's more than we want to spend.

I'm looking around to see if I can find similar cheaper but am open to alternative suggestions / ideas.

Vintage is key. Thank you.

Hi Sharon, we've already got a clock on the wall that side of the room.

We were hoping to be finished in this room in time for Christmas but looking increasingly unlikely now.
Lcg that photo is fabulous
Question Author
TTT, I've already emailed the seller to ask the size but I note it's "pick up only"

or you could hire a plasterer? haha
Question Author
The media unit is a mess, Bobbi, and the telly is still not wired up. The Electrician has gone AWOL again and isn't answering OH's calls. I really wanted this all to be finished for when my parents arrive at Christmas but it just isn't going to happen :-(
I hate it when you get let down x
Question Author
He's a total weirdo that Electrician. He's had mates pop round to visit him at our house when he's been here working. I came home two hours early the other week and found a stranger in my kitchen!
Ladycg the size looks similar to the one in your link, if you look at the picture with the arm in it you should be able to get a rough idea. Anyway is it prohibitively far? For £100 it may be worth a road trip. I go hundreds of miles for the right thing.
Just wanted to say, Lcg, from your pics I can see you have some seriously good builders on board.
Never mind the electrician, (they're all unhinged) ;o)

Hi TB, how are you?

My husband and FIL did all the interior brickwork themselves. We had Builders who are long-time acquaintances build the actual extension.
Question Author
If it were the right size, TTT, I would go and fetch it but time may be a factor above anything.
Hi Lcg. All fine with me thanks.

That brickwork is superb. Please pass on my compliments to them.
Lovely mix of bricks too. They look like a nice bunch of wire-cuts and hand-mades.
Keep the pics coming.
That's what I was thinking Sharon.
One of those big open metal mirrors.
Something like this, or does it have to be a mirror?

Thanks, TB. I'll convey your compliments when I start talking to him again ;-) (he came home all grumpy and got short shrift).

The bricks are these ones:

Barsel, I don't really want two feature clocks on one side of the room. That is a nice piece though.
Sorry ladyCG, didn't realise you already had a clock.
What will the room be used as?
Oh... they're slips? I would never have guessed. That's even more impressive.
Yep... all it needs now is the mirror.
Probably not to your taste but I would put something brighter on the bricks wall like this.

It's a kitchen / diner / snug Barsel.
