morning everyone, its another very early start, but i have slept for some time and so now wide awake. I hope you are all well and that you have a bright and cheerful day. Weather forecast is for partly sunny skies, and i guess that could mean anything.

I'm probably off to bed soon but I'll say a quick 'Hello' here. Hopefully I'll be able to get up in time to enjoy a bit of sunshine. I've got to drive to Felixstowe before Argos closes, to pick up a new printer on behalf of a friend (who's not very tech savvy), so I might be able to enjoy a walk on the prom and perhaps an ice cream.

Felixstowe is a bit of a mixed bag, MM. Felixstowe Docks almost forms a separate town to the main conurbation and, by its very nature, is a very industrial area. However right alongside there is a Landguard Nature Reserve, which is lovely.
The main seafront is very run down at the southern end (with tatty amusement arcades, etc) but the northern end has some lovely gardens is very pleasant.
The town itself isn't that spectacular but it's got two of the best second hand bookshops in the area (although one is currently downsizing and moving into the basement of its existing premises), as well as several nice places to eat.

Suffolk has some lovely areas, Emmie, especially on the coast around Southwold and Walberswick. There's a fantastic ferry service between the two, operated by one man in a rowing boat. There's no timetable; if you turn up when he's on the opposite side of the river you just shout for him to come across to you ;-)
Bury St Edmunds is a delightful town and Ipswich is very 'up and coming' these days (with loads of trendy bars and restaurants on the waterfront, alongside all of the expensive yachts on the marina).
Many Suffolk villages are a delight, with Lavenham often being cited as the most beautiful village in England.
It's only just over an hour on the train from Liverpool Street to Ipswich, so you really ought to visit our lovely county again!
