Broken Washing Line

My outdoor washing line broke last weekend so I bought another one and tried to fix it to the hook on the wall. The hook which was embedded in a piece of wood built within the wall has now fallen out and there is no way of fixing it back in. I have no drill or DIY skills and usually rely on my dad to help with such things.

Other than resorting to buying a rotary line is there an easy way to resolve this?

do you have anything else in the garden to wrap it round. I have been able to wrap mine around like concrete pillars that were built initially. You do need to have something strong.
If you have no DIY skills then No. If your dad lives close by can't he pop round with the necessary tools but maintain his distance from you ,wearing gloves and mask etc.
Retro is right, I do have a few DIY skills.
tiggerblue, has the hook fallen out because the wood is rotten or has it just become loose, ie the hole is too big?
Any trees or fence posts in your garden?

I use the fence pole to wrap round the other end of the line and bring it back to the hook so I have 2 lines.
Question Author
There are no other posts I can attach to otherwise my washing would end up in my neighbours garden.

Panic over...managed to hammer a smaller hole about 1.5in away from the other hole and screwed the hook into it. And I've put the new line up.

Knackered now and my bad arm is in pain again but at least I can put my washing out to dry :o)
