Hi ABers out there, I managed to get candlewax over the sleeve of my woolly jumper last night at a dinner party, and haven't the faintest how to get it off. Any ideas? Don't want to put it in the washing machine really .... hope you can help, many thank, Chox.

Pop into a bag in the fridge for a while then carefully pick off what you can.

Rolled up towel inside the sleeve and lay kitchen roll over the wax and use a warm iron , the paper should absorb most of the rest. Repeat.
Cover with a couple of layers of kitchen towel and iron with a low heat. It should melt and be absorbed by the paper.
As mamya says paper towel or brown paper and a warm iron
If that doesn't work to your satisfaction then submerge the affected part in cold water overnight and then gently wring out and immediately put into water up to fifty degrees in temperature. The wax should dislodge and float off - but don't catch it when lifting the item out of the water. Float the wax off by adding water to the container until it overflows and sluices off the wax. The whole operation can be done in a bath or suitable basin.
