Sterling 10. Home Alarm System. Why Is "strobe Light" Flashing.

Friend has a sterling 10 home alarm system. Alarm went off today. Alarm is working now ok but there is a white "strobe light" flashing in the panel outside but with no sound. How can it be stopped please.

My alarm is a completely different make and model, but I resume they all work in a similar way. When my alarm has been going off, the box continues flashing outside. This is remedied by pressing "reset" on the alarm control panel. I would assume that your friend's will be something quire similar.
