Has anyone had this done? I'm thinking of getting my doors and drawer fronts resprayed from natural wood to a cream and would like to hear your experiences. Recommendations would be useful, too.

My cupboards and drawers are in excellent condition, as are the doors so it would be wasteful to have a new kitchen just because I want a lighter finish. I'm no good at DIY so doing it myself is not an option.

If your doors have panels I'd be very wary of painting them as panels move within the frames with temperature changes and it might result in the wood showing through in places after a while. There are companies who will replace door and drawer fronts, so that might be a better option.
If they are real wood I'd certainly do it, we did some in our utility back in the UK and they turned out great but I know the melamine paints are a bit iffy however well you prep things x
just for info, I have used rustoleum plastic primer on well scrubbed and degreased melamine kitchen panelling and the paint stayed in place really well.
Yes I've had it done and it was perfect. Any colour you want, just send a picture and they will match it. When I had it done about 2-3 years ago, it was much cheaper to take the doors to them, so we took the doors off, labelled them, taped the screws onto where they had been removed and dropped them off and they were ready a few days later. £40/door including massive fridge freezer doors same price as a cupboard door and 4/drawers/£40 same as one door. They will come and do them for you and that would include all the frames as well but a lot more expensive. Still perfect now.
MIL paid for someone to refurbish hers they did a grand job
I usually advise people to take the doors and drawer fronts to a car re-sprayers if there's no one near you who specialises in this.

Modern synthetic paints sprayed on, are fairly bomb-proof. Should last a very long time.
More or less what I had done Builder, only they called themselves Kitchen Resprayers. Brilliant.
