It comes from Shakespear's poem Venus and Adonis.
\\'Who sees his true-love in her naked bed,
Teaching the sheets a whiter hue than white,
But, when his glutton eye so full hath fed,
His other agents aim at like delight?

It is just one further example in a long line of other examples that demonstrate far too many people simply do not know what racism is.
someone with too much time on their hands. Can't see what the problem is to be honest. like saying black on black crime, killings
Better walk around with with his eyes closed now, in case he is accused of giving someone black looks.
But that would mean his accuser was at fault. Just sayin.
I read this ridiculous story in the Standard yesterday.

It’s these kinds of story that mask true racism we see every day and they are dabaginh, because they allow people to lump such stories together with more serious instances of bigotry.

It’s an innocent phrase.
If you see racism every day, sp...I suggest you move.
a friend is a trainer/assessor in the fire service, and during a recent course he had cause to use as a training aid, a number of bin bags.

he described them as "black rubbish sacks".

one of the delegates then accused him of racism because of the casual association between "rubbish" and "black", and therefore he accused him of placing no worth on his black colleagues.

my friend then asked his accuser how arrogant and self centred he believed himself to be. this caught him off guard. my friend went on to explain that the accuser must be so, because otherwise how could it be that the mere mention of the word "black" automatically meant that the accuser was being referred to.

no official complaint was raised.

I’m not referring to me. I’m referring to society in general.

Moving doesn’t defeating bigotry. Moving allows bigotry (be it racism, sexism etc) to flourish untroubled.

Bigotry should be confronted - but not with stories such as these. They mask real racism and allow people to believe that all accusations of racism are merely frippery (for want of a better word).
SP: //they are dabaginh//

err... pardon?
Someone in authority needs to step in and knock this on the head.
Well, I don't see racism every day, in fact, I rarely see it.

Maybe you mean racism you seek out rather than racism you see?

You're far more likely to receive a bit of banter/abuse (call it what you will) for being fat, ginger or bald nowadays.
According to the report, there will a 'probe' into this incident lasting 'up to a year'.

I'd be interested to see how they can justify a probe lasting until lunchtime!
