Not mine - but friend - this friend has been crying physically tears all year about her d-in-law and son and grandchildren etc not bothering with her this year at all.

Called up today and she told me her and husband - ALLLLLLLLL going away on Friday to Spain. ie DIL - grandsons and granddaughter.

At the time I take it all with a pinch of salt - I know 100% friend has paid for the villa, flights - I asked her today - I thought you hadn't bothered with DIL - - yeah that's right "i haven't seen her since January".

I must be mad as a box of frogs cos when she was upset re the above - I was above consolling her. You know what I want to do . Lock myself up cos I'm lost for words.

Other people are a mystery aren't they?
Yeah I understand where you're coming from JJ but it's only money, people get snared up with their lives and mean to do things and half the time it's because they're stressed and worried about stuff that means they don't. Maybe this is just what's needed to bring them all back together?

I didn't think I would get an answer but I have - yes Kval - I actually asked her how DIL was looking physically and as I have said - she said "i haven't seen her from last Christmas".

I was going peepee there and it makes me so sad - you're right - they bother with her when she is "PAYING".
She's a grannie, wants to spend time with her grand children and son.
Question Author
that's right Anne - but only when you're paying - they all live about walking distance from her and she hasn't seen any of them from last Xmas - please.
I bet they'll all have a great time together.
Question Author
by the way Anne - son is not going. just the dil that she hasn't seen from January

It's not right jj. But it's worth what she is doing to spend time with her family. If her son has not seen her all that time, that's disgraceful .
Question Author
Mamy - that's the sad thing about it - every one of them "can't talk - so they communicate "in silence". Yes i have been there
Question Author
with them
All sounds odd I have enough of my own without needing to bother about others - glad you are there for your friend.
If she lives walking distance - has she not gone to see them?
Perhaps they think because she has not made the effort why should they?
