Rocky, Check out B. 'alternifolia' specifically and I think you will find it distinctly different to the usual spiky varieties of Budlea.

For Funks Sake it's up the wrong way. I give up.
it's a geum !
possibly dolly..scroll down the pics...
no it's not..thought you meant the yellow/orange thing at the bottom
spirea ?
The one at the bottom is a geum but I have no idea what the lilac one above it is
Question Author
Sorry, yes the purple one.

Could be a variety if spirea, the flowers look delicate enough. Not sure about the leaves, though.
Either rosemarinus prostrata. Or a trailing ceanothus. If the leaves smell of rosemary then it's number one, .
It looks like 'Budlea alternifolia to me.
Good point, I thought it was a bit early though. But I think you are right
Before I read the other relies I thought Budlea of some sort. With Chip on that.
Or maybe a Wisteria of sorts?
Question Author
When I first saw it, I though Budliea, but I’ve only ever known them to have more spikey shaped flowers. I’ll have a google about at varieties.

I can’t het in the garden to have a sniff, unfortunately.

Thanks all
I think it's a lilac. I think it's syringa vulgaris. I think you've got a clematis growing thru it tho.
