it's helibore
It is indeed Hellebore. Difficult to take cuttings though. The best method is to split the plant just after flowering. We have exactly that plant and the main problem for us is keeping it under control, it is very vigorous.
It seeds as well. That looks like the rather boring green one, there are prettier ones.

Thank you for your helpful answers, it is still quite a small plant, but so strong, and so pretty. I think a bird might have somehow dropped a seed originally.
Yes, they do self-seed very easily, try checking under the plants where it is sheltered around the base, in the spring.
You can sometimes find germinating seedlings there.
They seem to prefer alkaline soil.
Hey there, I have tried to grow Hellebore in my garden a few years ago, but was not very successful the attempt.
Could you, please, give me some good advises on how to grow it.
Here are some nice planting flowers advises you might find helpful:

Hellebores like well drained preferably limy soil, but need shelter and shade foremost. If you have a corner of the garden that is out of the sun, particularly the middle of the day sunshine, they will thrive. They are the first flowers of the year to bloom and ours were out before the Daffs or Tulips. If you have tall bushes or trees planting them under them is a good idea. They will grow there when other plants will not
