Does Anyone Know When The Bosch Exxcel 7 Washing Machines Were On Sale?

Hi. Does anyone know when the Bosch Exxcel 7 washing machines were on sale? Some workmen damaged mine and I need to claim against their insurance but they demand the age of the machine and I can't remember when I bought it! Thank you!

Not a lot of use to you now but we usually write the purchase date of such goods on the instruction booklet. If we order via the internet I always keep the emails etc. If it was a credit card purchase you might be able to plough back through your statements.

How about noting the various serial numbers on the machine and seeing if Bosch UK can help?

The energy certificate for that model is dated 2010, with online reviews for it starting to appear in early 2011. So I'd guess that the earliest you could have purchased it would have been around the spring of 2011.

Buenchico - but this is a third party claim. The term 'New for old' is really only relevant to the claimant's own insurance policy.

Fair enough, Arrods, but Aquilotta can't directly claim against the workmen's insurers anyway. He/she will need to claim against the workmen (or their employer) and then let them make a claim against any insurance cover which they might have. (Even if they've not got any insurance they're still responsible for compensating Aquilotta for any damage which they caused).

Just for info, there is now a 'direct right of action' against another party's insurers - but only in motor cases. The law change hadn't been around that long so I've not had any experience of specific cases.

Found a Youtube video explaining "How to use" the washing machine dated 24 Apr 2010, so it must have been from before that date.
I suggest trying to get Bosch UK to give you the manufacture date from your machines serial number is your best idea. Also ask the current price if it still is in production as suggested by "donny 48".
