Reputations mean nothing. The Irish have a reputation of being fun loving people but I know more uptight and angry Irish people than I do Brits. Sitting there tut tutting and counting how many drinks we've had :-)
Seeing that the 'joke' was on Facebook, how do we know the nationality of those who complained?
My point is that you can identify traits among nationalities.

(I don't suppose there's much humour in Franz Beckenbauer right now)
And...I doubt the humour of millons of Germans is at an all-time high under Merkel and her decision making...
agc - Your link is 5 years old so I doubt that recent events in Germany had any influence on that poll.

didnt the German consult when asked for a joke say

a man walks into a bar and says " Martini please ?"
and the barman said " Dry ? "
and the German says yes if you are offering ....

Thanks for that link agchristie, some will not believe in anything if it happens to go against their own views.
Germans being no good at comedy doesn't mean they lack humour.
