My brother just brought me a punnet of these from a pick your own place .
They weigh up at one pound four ounces so not really enough for jam .
They're a cross between a goosegog and a blackcurrant I think and a bit on the tart side .There doesn't seem to be much in the way of recipes on the net so any suggestions please ?

Match the weight in sugar, cover with boiling water to 1inch above pulp. Boil &simmer, stirring often for 1hr plus. Drip a drop onto cold plate to check constituancy; you want it to wrinkle & not runny.

Pour into glass jars (ready sterilised). Loosly cover to cool.

I dont want to make jam tambo, but thanks anyway :)
Nor hot puddings in this weather which two of us would never eat up .I was thinking of some sort of compote or something which I could freeze in portions to use later.
