We planted potatoes last year and although we thought we had dug them all up, I have noticed that potato plants have started to grow.
What I'd like to know is are they likely to grow into decent plants giving good potatoes?

Our polytunnel is sitting on the old tattie plot, and no matter how many times I dig up the plants every year there are more growing!

I do dig them up and eat them, and they've been fine so far. Sometimes a bit on the small and gnarly side, but edible all the same.

Thanks 2sp. I'll let them grow on then and plant around them!
Yep, they be edible. If you don't need the space leave them to grow.
Yes but previous year main crop potatoes frequently have blight. That's why growers plant fresh with Scottish seed potatoes each year.
