Yes, it's Field Mint (a.k.a. Wild Mint, Corn Mint, Mentha Arvensis or Pudina). Answer sourced by putting your pic into a Google Image search and finding this: http://lilikee.blogspot.co.uk/2011/03/good-plant-5-pudina.html and then Googling 'pudina' to get to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mentha_arvensis

need a distance picture with some idea of size of plant, type of stem. Is it shrubby or an annual type thing? did it grow from a seed or shoot from a root or trunk? Do the leaves smell of anything? any flowers?
Looks like some sort of mint to me ... if you rub a leaf and smell it, you will know if it's mint.

My mum has this plant growing in pots, and her backyard and she uses it for seasoning meats and fish. I want to know about it and its uses, but, cannot find any information online on it because I don't know the correct name.
Yes, she calls it Pudina also, but I Googled pudina and lots of different plants came up.

Thanks everyone for your help. x

Woofy, it grows by a piece. The leaf is thick, and a mature leaf could be as large as the size as the hand. The scent to me is a cross between peppermint and lemon balm. It's very fragrant, I like it.

Thanks everyone for your help.
