I have a sliding greenhouse door which sticks when I open and close it. I can't see what it's sticking on to. It's a light door for an aluminium frame greenhouse, I've already broken two panes of glass so would like to get it to open and close as it used to. Any help?

The door hung by two wheel runners at the top and the bottom runs in a grooved ledge? Both runners must be parallel and cleaned from rubbish. Clean the rubbish out of the bottom groove and put in some grease and gently work the door to and fro, to see if this helps.

The greenhouse has probably settled a bit and caused the runners to shift a bit out of alignment.

Thanks slackalice, will try that. Is WB40 the same as grease?
Mine gets a bit sticky sometimes, a good smear of Vaseline on the runners soon sorts it out.

No vaseline Frank, can I use WB40?
WD40 is an penetrating oil based spray. Trouble is it will evaporate and is a bit too light. You could try it, because it would confirm if lubrication is needed, but it will not have the staying power of grease.
Yes, apart from any obvious debris in the runners, I'll bet the greenhouse has gone out of alignment.
It will have gone diagonally so......
Get someone to push one side of the whole house to straighten it up...... while you operate the door.
If it's worse, then that's the wrong diagonal, so get them to push from the other side.
You may need to put something under that corner to keep it there.
Personally, I'd use WD40 rather than grease- a lot less messy. I've just done my garage door mechanism with it - amazing difference.

Hope it's just debris, The Builder....
Can't do any harm, give it a spray, WD40 is quite thin though, so the lubrication might not last that long.
Silicon spray will also do it, just give it a spray every couple of weeks during the season.

Bingo!! Cleaned the groove and sprayed WD40 and it's like it was. First time I've had to do that but maybe late husband did it.... Thank you all very much.
That's good!!
You can come round and fix mine now ☺
