Ive chipped one of my large pyrex dishes and want to dispose of it safely. Can it be put into the glass recycling bank or not

I'm pretty sure ours do not take Pyrex or toughened glass. Perhaps you can check on your local council website recycling page.
I'm pretty sure you can't put Pyrex in our recycling bins.

If the overall integrity of the dish isn't compromised you could smooth off the chip with some fine sand paper.
No, it's a different kind of glass. Our glass recycling points are quite specific: "No tableware". Whether it's Pyrex, or just ordinary things like wine glasses, tumblers, or glass dessert bowls, they'll spoil the melt of regular bottles and jars.

No - Pyrex glass should not be put in the glass recycling bank I'm afraid.
If you put Pyrex in a recycle skip ... you have for all intensive purposes written off the entire skip for recycling.
All Pyrex and toughened glass should go in the household waste skip.

Thanks all. Wouldnt want to do that alavahalf. Im keen on recycling everything I possibly can. Thanks for your tip EcclesCake. Its quite an old one anyway so Im looking forward to replacing them all gradually
