Having my driveway done. Got someone coming to quote me on friday.

I want grey and dark charcoal black granite kinda block paving, mostly light grey with darkgrey charcoal design going down middle.

I want rounded steps, with grey middle and edges blackish. As we have now decided we will stay in this house, i want to do it nice.

Does this sound nice?? Is this too much work? and is it too much to ask the person quoting us to do this?

Are round steps difficult to do as opposed to straight ones?

Also how long would this take from start to finish.

I have to submit contracters insurance paperwork to the council once done 10 days before expiry date, which is mid may!! so we can do the drop kerb.

I have relevant planning for all of this.

Can anyone professional or anyone that has done this before give me some advice, and maybe some tips, and links to see some designs. Also whats the cheapest im looking at?

depends how big your driveway is (picture?) and the quality of the materials + labour. can't guess from your post, i'm afraid. but....do get at least 3 quotes and ask to see previous work and speak to former customers.
Quit a few house around us have gone for block paving. The ones that have had a pattern and edges of different colours don't look as good as the ones that have gone for all one colour IMO
Firstly I would have a look at some of the driveways in your area and ask who they had to do the work,we did this as we had moved in to a new area and luckily found the right paver.if he is any good he should fetch a brochure with him.We have a half round step to our front door with a different colour edge which looks great.Good Luck
