a detailed answer to the 'motivation' question asked earlier. When I pressed submit, i got a 'webpage unavailable' screen and my answer disappeared.
I can't be bothered to type it again.

This happens fairly frequently. Can anyone tell me why?

Do I really have to copy everything before I try to submit?

It can happen. Can pay to type into a text editor where you can spell check first before copying and pasting into the webpage. Not that i can be bothered that much.

Seriously, is it maybe too long, there is a word limit I think before things go weird.

It used to happen to me occasionally using IE I now log on to answerbank with Google Chrome and it doesn't seem to happen anymore.

You could give it a try with IE or firefox then maybe Tilly.

Tony, can you use several browsers then? Do you just download them and stick them on the desktop and use whichever, whenever?

O.K. On the 'webpage unavailable' page that I was talking about it says this:

Add Google Chrome as a permitted program in your firewall's or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again

How do I do that please?

I type my responses in a Word document - then use copy and paste to minimise such events.
It has the added advantage of checking for typos.

Climate control? That sound posh. We just have a temperature dial. I'll go and turn it on I think, particularly as it's snowing...........outside.
