I recently noticed that a CCJ for an alledged Default has recently been registered against my name to my previous address thatI moved out from over 5 years ago. The was done by Lambeth Council. Having written to Lambeth to furnish all correspondence relating to the matter (as nothing was received), the Council have so far failed to provide that. I wrote to the Court in Northampton where the CCJ was registered and all the could tell me was the case id and wo the applicant was.

Question is
1. How could they satify a judge that I had received the correspondence?
2. Can I apply to my Local County court for Lambeth to be Ordered to remove this
3. If so what is the process?

The Council was informed prior to the sale of the property in 2006.

Have you asked your local Citizens Advice Bureau for advice ?
You need to complete this form in your web browser, and then print it out:
http://hmctsformfinder.justice.gov.uk/courtfinder/forms/n244-eng.pdf
(The order which you are asking the court to make is to set aside the judgement against you).

The form should be submitted to the County Court. There's an £80 fee for the application but, depending upon your circumstances, you might not have to pay it:
