Our Cannon gas cooker oven door recently exploded! When I rang the manufacturer After Sales number to order a whole new door, I was told that this wasn't available - I would have to order 22 units and make it up myself! I've tried ringing customer service but, after going through the automated system, all I put through to is the engaged signal. I have sent another email. Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and whether they managed to solve it?!

sounds like they are giving you the run around, 22 parts to a door, my Cannon cooker doesn't have half that. Ring them again, and ask for someone senior, and if that doesn't work suggest trading standards. How long have you had the cooker?
Why would you need a whole new door, surely it's only the glass that's broken?

Oven is exactly 5 years old. Inner glass is very discoloured and top of oven door frame looks singed and enamel broken off!
I can't see what the problem is how does discoloration and chipped enamel impact of the efficacy of the door?

What do you mean by 'exploded' and what is actually wrong with the door, apart from cosmetic issues you've mentioned?

The glass exploded into hundreds of tiny pieces - oven wasn't on - hadn't been for 7 hours! Sounded as if someone was breaking into the kitchen. Good job no-one was standing in front of it. Having had this, we thought it best to start off with a complete new door but it sounds as if I can't do this.
Just replace the glass. the rest of it is just cosmetic.

(and even if you did want to make it pretty again there would be no need for you to get all the parts, you wouldn't need new hinges, springs or screws for example)
As chuck says, just replace the glass. Quite straight forward.
can you claim on home insurance to cover the cost.
one thing I do know that replacing or indeed taking it apart to clean is not easy. I did and it was a pain in the backside.
Probably not worth it if the insurance has an excess to pay.
just to ask the obvious, but have you checked the guarantee?
Had exactly the same thing on a cannon cooker. With ours it was the top oven glass that shattered while we out. No reason for it as it hadn't been used for about 8 hours. Anyway I searched online for cooker parts and found a place and fitted it myself. (It was only a slide in mounting) and good as new now. It wasn't cheap though, around £80 if I remember.
