Chores ........boring chores.

I could have posted this in Home and Garden but this is a general question.

I've been cleaning my oven, I absolutely hate cleaning it out. I also hate vacuuming the staircase and clearing out cupbords. I like a clean house as much as the next one, what jobs do you hate more than those?

I enjoy doing all those things in my own time, however, I don't like having to do them! Does that make any sense!

Don't mind washing and ironing as you can see/smell the results, but hoovering is a pain unless something obvious is spilt (quite good when it makes that crunchy noise when you Hoover the bits up). Oven, cupboards, dusting, etc are all a pain as they are either not noticed or just as bad again in a couple of days.

Dont really!know gran. All jobs seem to me to be boring these days.
Would much rather be away camping as I am really houseproud when I'm in my tent !!! haha

Oh the oven! Hate it so much I employed someone last time. Came up like new and it seemed a shame to use it again. Problem solved.

For some odd reason I hate emptying the dishwasher and putting things away. It's really tedious. otherwise changing the duvet makes me hot and bothered so I hate that too.

I turn a blind eye to a lot of it these days .I'm too arthritic now .I used to be able to got through the house in one fell swoop .These days it takes me all day to vacuum. I must have stuff in the ironing basket from the year dot .I loathe ironing .I just do the basics .It'll all still be there when I'm gone .There's more to life than cleaning .

I hate cleaning the bathrooms. They are always so dusty from talcum powder floating about.

I love hoovering because I got one of those hoovers you can see into and I'm always amazed at how much (mostly cat hair) it picks up even when it looks clean.

Ironing....well, that can do one.

Cleaning the oven has got to be the worst. How can food possibly produce so much grease and yuck?

I forgot the duvet, I changed one this morning ended up hot and bothered. It must be worst for you sherrard with a family at home I bet you are always doing something.
Shaney I've slowed down a bit, when the arthritis is bad I tend to do things in short bursts.
Lol pusskin the tent sounds a good idea, except sleeping on the ground wouldn't do for me.

I quite like doing 'things' - but anything that I have to do day after day I find boring quite soon.

Lol...askyourgran .I know the feeling ..I do bit ..have a sit down and a cuppa .then do a bit more .By the time I get round it all it's time to start all over again :)

Washing woodwork (skirtings and doors) I do it every fortnight and at the time I hate it but I love the results.
I used to hate doing the oven until I got a company to steam clean it for me. I will never use Mr Muscle again! lol

I know this is an old one but......I used to be a but too fussy and the house had to be just so `til a friend said.."When you die will you look down (or up,more like) and say you wish you had done more housework?" Now the house is ok but I do more nice things.

I don't mind washing and ironing but I have a tendency to postpone the ironing, then I'm faced with a couple of hours worth which is worst still.

I have the technology (well I'm a man so that is a given) ... two dysons, fancy iron thingy, a ceramic tile scrubber, assorted mops/brooms/buckets, more cleaning products than you could shake a stick at ... but honestly I'm with gness - life's too short.
