Depends on your lauderette. Take plenty of £1, 50ps and 20ps with you.
I think you'll find that there is a variation in prices across the country.
You'll probably need more than you might expect!

I use a launderette on a monthly basis (for all of my washing), which costs me around £18 per time. (£15 for the machines & washing powder, and £3 service charge).

This launderette's website gives the prices for using their self-service washing machines but you'd probably need to add a couple of extra pounds on for using a tumble drier:

Really???

£18 pounds a month seems uneconomical to me, surely a second hand washing machine and cheap washing powder would work out cheaper in the long run.

That's great, thanks again for all your answers ! :)
£18 per month? Is that for one person's washing?

That's over £200 per year which is more than the price of a washing machine. Maybe you don't have room for one Chris, but its a lot of money.
problem being of course that you need to have £200 quid in one go, and you can't just not do washing for a year to save up, can you?
