We have thick fog here - can't see across the road :O

Thankfully, not the snow we were promised :)
yes
I never have, they may get a bit frosted round the edges but they are remarkably hardy.
I've had my camellias for over 20 years, including one house move. Never covered them.
Only if the they see the early morning sun.
Never covered mine for the past 10 years (I have 3) but last year I did lose one due to the -15 deg overnight temps - typiclally it was the prettiest and best one!
It can't be that cold around here, 'cos the cat has just gone outside!

Actually it's far from cold here anyway. I went down to the local shop at around 9.30, without a coat, and it felt very mild.
It's perishing down here in the corner, chris!
Mine came through quite well after standing out in all that snow and low temperatures of last winter - I'm in Scotland does that help?
I think you will get some on the east coast Chris very soon.
We lost two-thirds of our camellia last winter - it's very odd, three branches just died off and are brown sticks, the other one is, as usual, carrying fat buds. We moved it from a large pot into the ground last spring - we did wonder if that had something to do with it, but then why didn't it all die off? Very odd.
There's no snow forecast around here, Carlton23. Just a few rather 'crisp' days and nights:

we might get a bit tomorrow night http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2651048
