Would like to subscribe to a woodwork magazine for son-in-law for
Christmas, it's his favourite hobby at the moment, but there are so many
anyone know which is the best. Thanks in advance

Just a thought-Axminster Power Tools sell woodwork tools and have lots of training manuals/guides. They may be able to help

Not quite what I was after for a Christmas present, thought it would be nice to receive something monthly, but thanks anyway
What's his particular interest in working with wood ? The magazines tend to b quite specialised these days, for example some cover wood turning, some on carving, some on making toys etc. There are of course general woodworking magazines, does he buy any of these at the moment ? Perhaps he has a favourite already and you could buy him that.
It depends on what aspect of woodworking he likes best. I mean to say, look at the choice there is...

If it's just woodworking in general, I'd suggest ''The Woodworker''
Why not tell him to go to colledge for evening lessons.
The Nail on Sunday? The Plane Truth? Screws of the World? Saw-ga magazine? Awl or Nothing? Sawcialist Worker?
