What a nightmare this morning! I went to the gym and forgot a towel...woops!!! Had to improvise and use my t-shirt...not the best! When was the last time you had to improvise because you didn't have something to hand? I did once use a hair-dryer to defrost my freezer and a hammer and screwdriver to open a bottle of wine.

not sure what's worse, going to the gym in the first place (seriously, a gym? urgh!!) or going at this godforsaken time in the day.
needed to fix an infusion pump to a dripstand and the clamp was broken inprovised with a cut down detergent container, a bent coat hanger and a lot of sleek (heavy duty dressing tape) at least it meant the patient could go down for his scan and we found a pump with a proper clamp while he was away Thank you Blue Peter

Zammo ... couldn't you borrow a towel from the gym ?

One of my gyms always gives you a towel on the way in, even if you don't need one.

Or was it too late ... already in the changing room, stripped off, before you discovered you had no towel?

But, hang on ... don't you take a small towel into the gym itself to wipe up your sweat?? It's a bit skanky if you don't.

You should have loads of towels in your gym bag.

Do you need to borrow a towel? I can lend you one.

Costco do packs of 10 hand towels, so I always have a couple of extra towels in the bottom of my gym bag.

Unless I've just tidied out my gym bag ... which doesn't happen too often, to be honest.

What were we talking about?

Oh yes ... Zammo's gym.

I once drove home during the night (a distance of about 50 miles) with a petrol can full of petrol tied to the roof of my car after the fuel pump died, so I relied on gravity feed, it was a long slow drive and a little jerky to say the least but it got me home.
And not dangerous at all, RATTER !
I've done the fairly common bit of string out the window working as a throttle cable a couple of times to get me home.
