I have a two bed property, but we need a 3-4 bed now due to another "bundle of joy" on it's way? Admittedly the Homeswapper site appears to have been constructed by monkeys on some seriously strong pharmaceuticals (NEVER have I come across such a poor user un-friendly site). I can't see anyone swapping a 3-4 bed for my 2 bed (lovely as it is) so my only real chance is to enter into chain. What I would like to know, and I am a complete beginner at this, is who administrates the chain? Do I have to find a third party for the house I want to move into or do HomeSwapper take care of it? Also if I see a house I like, but my house isn't suitable for them, do I approach them and ask them if they would like to join a chain? . . . the FAQ's on the site were written by someone with the comprehensive skills of a 2 year old!!!

I'll have some of what what you're on : )
I joined the site 1 year ago and find it very easy to use and easy to follow, you can do a 2 way 3 way or whatever swap you need to but it is organised by the ppers /tenmants not by the site or the housing association, you each fill in a form for the swap you want to do and the person swapping with you, it should work fine, but there are no guarantees, i have had 2 swaps lined up and they changed their minds at different points.
my M-I-L is in the middle of doing this. there are people that want to size down to move to another area. For example, she is in a 3 bed but her kids have now grown up. She wants to move near us, so has to find someone who wants to move to her area for a bigger house.
They are in a chain of about 4 people all moving but she had to do all the running around, finding people etc
