how and where do you store your empty hangers? they drive me mad and seem to turn up all over the place

I bin the overflow

Giant carrier bag as close to my ironing board as possible.

They still turn up in places other than a wardrobe or suchlike tho

Mine tend to accumulate in the bottom of wardrobe until I get fed up and throw a lot of them out.
Have just had a clear out and now two bags FULL sit in my hall...want some ??? may ask at local charity shops if they want them...

If you have more empty hangers than you have clothes to put on them then it's obvious....buy more clothes.
i put a rail up across the top of the cupboard where the ironing booard is kept and hang them on that :-)
As Murraymint says, charity shops may like them but our local Tesco store has a recycle bin outside for unwanted hangers.
Further to Murraymints' answer, I had been nagging Mrs ZZ to tip out all her unused coat hangers and take them to the local charity shop. She finally agreed that this would ensure that they would be put to good use. We duly offered two carrier bags of the things to the shop assistant (along with all the other stuff that we had accumulated) who said, "Nah, we've got 'undreds of the things. But I'll put 'em in t'skip for you."
