i moved into a private rented house in october last year, i paid a deposit of £500 i now want to leave as the property is being attacted by vandals braking the windows, the landlord said ive got to pay for the damage caused, change of locks and will not get my deposit of £500 back due to me not seeing out my agreement. what do i do? is this right?0

Report the vandalism to the police sot that you can get a crime incident number from them, It may go some way to dealing with your landlord, It may also be worth putting in an insurance claim if the excess is less than the deposit.
Why should you pay you didn't cause the damage. Your landlord should have insurance to cover this.Check with your local Citizens Advice and show them your tenancy agreement.
How long left on the contract?
Shelter should be able to help.
