Oil, Calor, Soild ect what is cheapest

My husband and I are hopeing to renovate an old farm house. We are looking for advice on the cheapest form of heating , as it is rural there is no gas supply, so we would have to have to use an alternative. All of them seem expensive, has anyone had first hand dealings with oil calor solid ect, would appreciate any input Thanks

We have oil and it's pretty expensive (around £1200 a year for a 4 bed det). Calor gas, I have heard is hideously expensive. Solid fuel burners are quite efficient these days. I would try to contact a local solid fuel supplier and ask them.
