Why does it keep returning .It is inside my porch on original house wall which had a dampcourse injected 4 years ago.It was there before that.I keep wiping it off .
It onle affects one or two smooth facing bricks and a bit of mortar.

It comes from the salts within either the brick of the lime in the mortar. It will eventually stop if you keep removing it but oftern takes several years. It isn't a problem, other than visually.
