Can anyone confirm that it was an English Regiment that was at Rorkes Drift and not a Welsh Regiment. Someone told me that Stanley Baker gave the film Zulu a Welsh theme purely cuz he was a Taff himself,

Seems that the regiment was a Borders regiment, so it's reasonable to assume Welsh people coould be represented. In addition, regiments recruited from all over, not solely from the area of their geographical HQ.

The reiment was the 1st and 2nd battalions of the 24th reiment of foot the South Wales Borderers
This article has some good references to the composition of the regiment at Rorkes Drift.
