I haven't had any direct dealings with MRI. However, I did go to a Foreign Property Exhibition at Excel a few months ago, and they had the biggest, shinest, glitziest stand at the exhibition. I remember thinking that it all needs to be paid for somehow.

My friend brough property overseas, and didn't go through MRI.
MRI overseas properties are a scam, very well set up by lawyers operating internationaly. They avoid using mail and only operate by phone and face to face,do not tell you who their lawyes are, give diffrent prices for same property depending what they think they can thive out out you, they try to trick u while they put u up in a 5 star hotel and drive u around land and properties they say belongs to them or they are comissioned to sell, its all lies...they than trick u to pay a deposite for an off plan property or a resale,u pay money to a lawyer they say has nothing to do with them but they only just introduce you to this lawyer themselves. You are not allowed to know of this lawyer untill u are about to give them money, they agressively tell you they have no details of their own lawyers or the lawyers they ultimately get u to pay money.Than u realise u pay a man you have never meet before, buying an off plan property from a seller u just see its name on a contract and have never heard or seen them before, and the MRI says it has nothing to do with them when you want either your money or the property u thought u were buying. They operate internationaly from offices rented out with no sign or logo. They say they are the largest developers in europe and have own TV show, but never answer your technical questions. They do have glossy magazins (for those who dont know its very easy producing magazins using computers with zero staff and have it published if u have the cash) As u read this, remember on hinsight everything looks clear but if u are in position i was u propebly get tricked too. There are people who paid for properties in Bucharest and still dont know the developers SOUTH PACIFIC are just a phoney set up with risks, but have taken MRI word it is ok.
MRI overseasproperties are thives, operating internationaly and police can not get them as they set up in one country operating in another....as i said they are professionals and scam is very very big....

mri are just a scam. they can sell ok, but can't deliver on what they say. Don't believe what they tell you about after sales, it doesn't exist, try calling them....don't buy their furniture packs, just a joke 3 times more expensive than elesewhere. dont believe their rentals jargon, it doesn't exists. try their website rentabroad.com. I would like to hear from anyone who has managed to have a rental income with them. They are liars. I have read that they are now setting up another company in another name.. god help us. Look on one of their websites www.eyeworld.com. It is the same people. So many people have been totally deceived in Bulgaria. y ou wouldn't believe it. they are scam con men
i went on a viewing trip to turkey, found that there infomation changed depending on who you spoke too, also they got funny when i said i was going to let my solicitor take a look before i decided on anything saying there were independet soliciters there for me to use, although the solicitors were based in the same complex. also everybody on the trip were being talked into buying 2,3 or even 4 apartments. when i said i was going to go home and think about it we went to yhe airport and stayed at the airport hotel over night, there was another couple in the airport that night from the same trip who clamed that the husband was a bank manager and they had decided to buy one, i am convinced that these were stooges sent to convince us it was all ok. if you are going to buy with these guys be verry verry carefull because i am not convinced by them at all
I had serious problems with MRI and I would warn anyone to avoid them at all costs!

We are currently persuing a legal claim against them in Spain through a UK based lawyer and it look s like we may get some of our money back (fingers crossed). For anyone who has been duped by these cowboys, the have a chat with George who is representing me on 01522 568699. he may or may not be able to help depending on the circumstances, but it will cost nothing to find out.
