broken glass lightshade

I have a 1930s glass bowl like shade that hangs from 3 chains. It got a chunk broken off where one of the chains is attached when a tall person walked into it! Can it be mended to use again and if so, how could it be done or what sort of professional would do it? I do love it + don't want to throw it out.

Would glass glue work do you think ? I have just mended a glass christmas ( don't ask! ) ornament.
