hob-brite
Don't forget that what you use to wipe with can make a difference: try e-cloth from John Lewis or lidl do a micro cloth and glass/shiny surface polishing cloth, have heard good things about hob-brite too.
My ceramic hob is five years old. I use a stainless steel scourer (it doesn't scratch) to get the difficult bits off, and buff it with a bit of kitchen paper.

It looks as good as the day I bought it.

Mmmm i think it needs something ,,,um,,,really 'determined' to get it off
You can buy a cermaic hob scraper which I find helps a lot. I couldn't find it one in any shops near me, so bought one of ebay .about a fiver I think. Which leads me on to another question - where have all the kitchen shops gone? I tried to buy a can opener while in town the other day ended up having to go to a supermarket to get one.
