I have Biasi Riva Compact M90E 24S very intermittant in lighting up either in dhw or ch,anyone with ideas! what are the obvious parts which are replaced with this model.
My guess would be either dirt build-up on the electronic ignition electrodes or poor alignment/positioning of same – resulting in a weak spark with intermittent gas ignition.
Logically, it could be the gas valve not letting gas through properly...... or a gas safety valve having the same result.
The ignition as Hymie mentions............
Or maybe the burner itself. On top of that, there are possibly thermistors or thermostats that are faulty, and shutting down unnecessarily.
Unlikely that you or I could fix it Vig :o(
Hi for both answers so far, I've checked dirt also eyebald for obvious faults without involving gas areas, have come down to either pcb fault, safety thermostat, safety valve. Wife has now just informed me she has BOS Royalties ins. so I'll give them a call will let you the result.
Came to a conclusion that it is a PCB problem, plumber and I went through every other checks. Although this Boiler was cheap compared to others the components are extortionate, new Pcb costs over £200,safety switch £17. As the Boiler is mounted in a position which is not suitable I decided to get another boiler.
