Daft names for pets..

I love to hear the names you all call your cat/dog...and think , why did they call it that..lol

Our black lab (sadly deceased) was called Bruno. Cos he looked like Frank Bruno. Simples.

We were going to have a b1tch from the litter and call her Fanny - but the hubby refused to go out at night on the riverbank and shout for "Fanny". (Mind you - knowing that village, he'd have got some. Albeit very dubious fanny......)

The coolest name (IMO anyway) we had for our old dog was Boo, hense my username here. He was named after the Los Lobos song Me and You and A Dog Named Boo. I didn't however, consider the drawback of that name being shouted when I took him out for a walk.

We used to have a cat called Friday cos that was the day we got her. Imaginative huh? I had a friend who had a cat called Crouton cos he found it as a stray and it's fur was all crispy.

We have a cat called scooby (ginger of course) but we use his nick name all the time which is Tronnie, When he was a kitten my daughter used to fly him around her head and say he was scoobytron flying in his space ship and the name tron stuck....I dont know who is more dafter the daughter or the cat.

I have had cats named: Moose, Wombat, Shub Niggurath (Shub for short), Ithaqua, Hannibal, Norman (after Norman Bates,Psycho).

Hey bobbs, I also had a dog called 'Boo' but he wasn't after a los lobos song lol, he was named after Boo Radley in To Kill a Mockingbird. Lost him a few years ago now and haven't had the heart to get another one *sniff!
