I buy an organic garlic spray from my local garden centre which kills different types of bugs and so far has worked very well.
Question Author
Many Thanks moonshadow. Does the spray have a brand name or is it only sold at garden centres?
You will be able to get a spray from Tesco's or Sainsbury's in the garden section or from any garden centre. There are lots of different brands. Everyone seems to be plagued with them this year.
Question Author
Thanks Mac, but is there any particular one which is the best?
No i don't think so they more or less all do the same job.
Question Author
ok, ta!
weak solution of washing liquid sprayed on g.fly
Cropsaver or any other systemic spray.
Plants and flowers will not be effected
but please spray in the evening when the Bees have done their days work.
Try a soap solution before splashing out on proprietary products.
Me again sorry to contradict previous answers, Washing up liquid is next to useless, systemic spray is absorbed by the plant and when the blighters feed off the sap "Good night Nurse"
Sorry to contradict you lindylou but washing liquid washes off the protective coating on greenfly and thus kills them. Scientific fact. Perhaps you didn`t use a strong enough solution.
Question Author
OK Carlton, how strong a solution? How much washing up liquid with how much ???
