I have a mature chili plant that has been producing chilis fine for a couple of years now but it has suddenly died ( or nearly. it has dried right out) It is kept indoors near a window and has been watered regulerly as normal. The central heating has been on a bit but i thought they would be ok with heat. Any ideas please.

What have you been feeding the plant on? Stick a finger down into the compost and make sure it is damp about 1/2inch into the soil.. if not, then give it another drink. As it's an indoor plant, it might not have had a chance to pollinate with another chilli plant in order to produce the fruit (the chillies).... chili plants are by nature outdoor plants, they also don't appreciate troo much water one or twice a week is fine, it coud be large changes in temperature, by nature they are normally anual plants as well although we have had many "anual" plants last a few years
Aww mine looks droop[y and am tempted to give it a drink but I think i may have overwatered -good advice -Cheers.Have a fair few ready to blossom and some which have so dont want to lose it.

I also have a capsicum from which I got a fair few -looks fairly healthy although no 'fruits' what should i do to nurture it -sory Russell for asking a Q on your thread.
