My heating comes on at 18.00 however for some unknown reason by 20.30 the heaters no longer produce heat. The heating is timed to go off for 22.00 Can anyone tell me why this occurs ?

Depends on the setting on your thermostat and where it is positioned - once the temperature in the room where the thermostat is has reached that temperature then the heating knocks off and keeps knocking on and off to maintain that temperature.
