I asked how an amateur can propagate Petunias, but I now cannot find my question, or any possible answers. Please help.

by seed for most types but there are some that are cutting raised (surfinia which are the trailing ones)

Sorry about the mistake. I meant from the flowers of ordinary petunias?.
It's not something I've ever done - I usually dead-head like fury to keep them going as long as possible! You could leave some flowers to die back & form seed pods to collect but bear in mind that they're unlikely to look anything like the original plant. Make sure they're dry before storing in a paper bag/envelope, not plastic. And do label them, I've got various seeds & no idea what they are! :o)
