Apart from getting someone else to do it, tried that, didn't work, has anyone any idea what the easiest way to get rid of weeds growing between the flags on my drive is? I suffer with arthritis so find it difficult to bend or kneel.

Any help gratefully received.

You can buy a path and patio weed spray, Mr Jules sprays our path every so often, it is quite effective and easy to apply. You can also buy a long handed weeder type thing, but I think that only takes the tops off the weeds so they come back again fairly quickly.
good old cooking salt on the weeds kills them off

I inherited some badly prepared crazy paving that gets infested by weeds and grass, in fact I did'nt even realise there was a path at all when I first took it on and it was quite a task to clear it initially.
Over the years now I've learnt to keep an eye on it and tend to it before it starts to get too bad again.
I'm not a big fan of weedkillers but I do spray once a year with something containing glyphosate, which gives me a good headstart. The rest of the time, I find a stimmer is less tiring than using hand tools.
To sum up, I think it's best and Easier to get to grips with them weeds as soon as you see them coming through. Good Luck. Tbird+

It seems the easiest way is to spray them. I have tried the salt method rallan, it does work eventually. It may have to be a mixture of all three ways and try to keep them down as much as possible.

Thanks Jules, rallan and Tbird

my father-in-law swears by Jeyes fluid....
Use a path/patio weedkiller. Asda sell them, Add sachet to watering can as per instructions and apply. I do this and it lasts for about a 10/12 months
