I got a Rosemary from home base (£1 good value)
I replanted in a bigger pot
It was thriving so well I cut it right back and now it's died
Why oh why?

You probably cut it back too much. I did the same with an established sage plant last year. And I've never been very successful with mint :(

I didn't think you could kill mint
Mind you I've made the same mistake with coriander too
Mosaic, I do know what you mean I had some in the past that I kept digging out over several years! Though planted some in a pot and died immediately.
I moved a Rosemary bush in garden and it died. Someone told me I should have given it lots of water. Got a small growing pot from herbs section in Tesco and in a short time it became a huge plant.
you have undoubtedly cut back into old wood...only trim this years growth back after flowering..same with lavender...also water well..
I've got lots of mint in a tub. It's controlable. In the ground it will take over the whole garden.
