I have had this shrub for many years, but this year it has been looking rather poorly - for what reason I do not know. Right now it has showing red berries, but all year it has had a lack of green leaves.

Do I prune this shrub hard down - and if not - how can I rejuvinate it?

Thanks, in advance, to all who reply.

Daphnes naturally don't live for long. It might just be at the end of its life. I would keep it well fed and watered and wait and see. If it does shoot again the cut off the dead bits but replacement sounds like its on the cards.
